Biography

Terry founded Advantage Marketing Solutions with the vision to be a leading full service marketing, communications and business solutions firm. His knowledge, experience, and previous achievements are just some of Advantage Marketing Solutions assets. He is applying everything he has learned to Advantage Marketing Solutions, and continues to seek new opportunities for marketing and business solutions.

Prior to founding Advantage Marketing Solutions in 2006, Terry was Vice President of CUCorp a subsidiary of the Michigan Credit Union League. He began his career at CUCorp in 1985 and over the course of his tenure with the company he transformed what was a minor department into Images & Ink, an award winning, self-sustaining entity within the company that provided first class advertising, marketing, consulting, and business partnerships to Credit Unions.

As a member of the Michigan Credit Union League management team, Terry was instrumental in positioning CUCorp as a nationwide leading organization servicing credit unions. He provided vision and direction across multiple divisions of the company. In 1995, Terry introduced website design and services for Credit Unions, a program that thrived, eventually becoming what is known today as “The Credit Union Village.”

In addition to creating and expanding the marketing and advertising arm of CUCorp, Terry developed and launched a number of very highly successful and profitable national discount programs with companies such as Sprint, Office Depot, Cingular and Verizon Wireless. These Value Added partnership programs were a stunning financial achievement for CUCorp and excellent business solutions offered to members and clients.

Terry gained his formal education from the University of Michigan. He also graduated top in his class as Certified Credit Union Executive (CCUE) and Certified League Association Executive (CLE) through the Credit Union National Association. The (CLE) certificate prepares graduates to manage a trade association, credit union league or service corporations. The (CCUE) certificate prepares graduates to manage a financial institution such as a credit union. Terry also attended Wayne State’s Business School Certificate Program and is a licensed Michigan residential builder.

Terry serves on the Board of Directors of Michigan Services Credit Union. He is also a member of the American Society of Association Executives, the Canton Chamber of Commerce, the National Federation of Independent Business Owners, the Direct Marketing Association of Detroit, and the Printing Industry of Michigan.

Terry resides in Canton Michigan with his wife and two sons. In his leisure time he enjoys boating, snow and water skiing, and other outdoor activities with family and friends.
